California native Peter Ogilvie grew up under the artistic eyes of his parents, who were both artists. After graduating from University of California at Berkeley, Ogilvie turned to documentary film making, which led to his passion for photography, both fine art and commercial.
Now, with a career spanning over 30 years, his portfolio covers advertising, fashion, art and fine art photography, and his work has won numerous advertising and graphic awards.
Dramatic color and vivid contrasts are seen across Ogilvie’s photography, and poignantly illustrate the sheer drama and artistry of opera. Observing each image, one gets a glimpse into the theatrical stories of place and time within the operatic repertoire.
